El Gubi Service – Christopher Mulholland

The Royal Gloucestershire Hussars' Crest

This service is held annually to commemorate The First Battle of Bir El Gubi in Libya on 19th November 1941, and remember the Fallen of The Royal Gloucestershire Hussars (RGH), who fought in this battle.

The service is arranged by the RGH, but the service is open to all and follows the 1662 Book of Common Prayer mattins service, with Acts of Remembrance added into the service. It is one of the most poignant and memorable services held at Great Badminton each year.
