We are a traditional group of country parishes. The majority of our Sunday services are sung, and include Psalms, hymns and canticles from the classic tradition of Church music.

Mattins, Evensong and Sung Eucharist services last approximately 45 minutes. Said Communion services (usually earlier in the mornings) last for 30 minutes.

There are regular Modern Family Services throughout the Benefice. Please click on the 'Services' menu above to see an up-to-date list of all upcoming services across the Benefice.

We belong to the Diocese of Gloucester. If you would like further information about our Diocese, please visit the below addresses:

Sunday School

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, at 11:15am, we hold a Sunday School in Sopworth Village Hall for children from across the Benefice. The Sunday School coincides with our 11:15am Mattins or Holy Communion service in the church. All are welcome to join us - both in the Sunday School and for the church service.

For those who do not know Sopworth well, the Village Hall is a few yards away from the church at the end of a quiet little lane.

Past And Present

In October 2013 we had the unique occasion of having two past Rectors of Badminton (The Reverend Tom Gibson and The Reverend Canon Christopher Mulholland) joining the current vicar (The Reverend Richard Thomson) at a service at Little Badminton.
